Format categories
FilesMonkey supports more than 300 formats across documents, images, audio, video, ebooks, and archives. Availability is based on the source-to-destination combination rather than the extension alone.
- Documents include formats such as PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, XLSX, PPTX, HTML, and ODT.
- Images include JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, TIFF, BMP, HEIC, and many specialist formats.
- Audio includes MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, OGG, M4A, and others.
- Video includes MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, WMV, and related formats.
- Archives and ebooks include ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, EPUB, MOBI, and related formats.
Find compatible destinations

Open the Tools menu and choose the relevant category.

Select the source format or open its dedicated converter page.

Open the destination selector to see formats supported for that source.

If the destination is not shown, choose a more compatible intermediate format or contact support.
File extension versus file contents
Renaming a file extension does not convert the file. FilesMonkey reads and processes the underlying file data. A file with the wrong extension, incomplete download, or damaged header may be rejected even when its name looks supported.
Containers and codecs
Video and audio containers can hold different codecs. Two files with the same extension may therefore behave differently. For maximum playback compatibility, select common destinations such as MP4 for video or MP3 for audio.
Password and DRM protection
FilesMonkey cannot bypass encrypted passwords or digital-rights protection. Remove protection only when you have permission, then upload the accessible copy.
